The Department of Meteorology says that rain or thunder may occur in a few places in Uva province today (the 25th) in the evening or at night.
The department stated that there is mainly rainless weather in the rest of the island and there may be a little rain in the coastal areas from Galle through Matara to Hambantota.
It is said that the winds in the sea areas around the island are blowing from the northwest or without a specific direction and the wind speed is about 20-30 kilometres per hour.
