The Department of Meteorology says that rain or thundershowers may occur in a few places in the evening or night in the Eastern and Uva provinces today (25). The department stated that there may be some rain in the morning in the coastal areas of the Western Province and Galle and Matara districts.
The Department of Meteorology urges individuals to take the required precautions to reduce the risks brought on by storm-related lightning and transient high winds.
