The Department of Meteorology says that rain or thundershowers may occur at places in the evening or night in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts.
The department stated that there may be some rain in the morning in the eastern and Uva provinces and the southern coastal areas.
The Department of Meteorology urges individuals to take the required precautions to reduce the risks brought on by storm-related lightning and transient high winds.
