Department of Meteorology says that in Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-Central, Uva and North-West Provinces and Trincomalee and Mullaitivu Districts today (25th) in the evening or at night there will be scattered showers or thundershowers and heavy rains of more than 50 mm may occur in some places.
The department warned that rain or thundershowers might appear in a few spots throughout the evening or at night in the other regions. The Department of Meteorology asks citizens to take the required precautions to lessen the risks brought on by storm-related lightning and transient high winds.
