The Department of Meteorology says that rain or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the evening or at night in Central and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle and Matara districts.
The department stated that there is mainly rainless weather on the rest of the island.
The Department of Meteorology urges individuals to take the required precautions to reduce the risks brought on by storm-related lightning and transient high winds.
