The Department of Meteorology says that there may be some rain in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle and Matara districts today (22).
A few places in Uva province and Ampara and Batticaloa districts may experience rain or thundershowers in the evening or at night.
The department states that there is mainly rainless weather on the rest of the island.
The Department of Meteorology requests that people take necessary measures to minimize the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
