The Department of Meteorology announces that occasional rain or thundershowers may occur in Uva and Eastern provinces and in Hambantota and Polonnaruwa districts.
In Uva province, Ampara and Batticaloa districts, heavy rains of about 75 mm may also occur in some places, the announcement said.
It is further stated that scattered rain or thundershowers may occur in Sabaragamuwa, Western, Central and North-Western provinces and Galle and Matara districts in the evening or at night.
