The Department of Meteorology says that rain or thundershowers may occur at some places in the evening or night in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-West and North-Central provinces and Galle and Matara districts today (21).
The Department asks that individuals take the required precautions to reduce the risks brought on by storm-related lightning and transient high winds.
The meteorological department has also stated that the temperature in several areas of the island is at a level that needs attention today (21).
Therefore, the Department further requests the people to act according to the instructions given by the health departments such as drinking enough water in those areas.
