The Department of Meteorology says that today (20th) there may be several periods of rain in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle and Matara districts.
Accordingly, the department stated that in the Uva province and Ampara, and Batticaloa districts, there may be rain or thundershowers at some places in the evening or at night.
The Department of Meteorology requests that people take necessary measures to minimize the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
