The Department of Meteorology says that a change is expected in the dry weather condition in the eastern and Uva provinces of the island in the coming days.
The department stated that several rainy seasons may occur in Uva province and Ampara, Batticaloa and Hambantota districts.
In the rest of the island, there is mainly a rainless weather condition, and in Uva and Northern provinces and in Hambantota district, there is a possibility of strong winds of about 40 kmph from time to time.
