The Department of Meteorology says that there may be some rain in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle and Matara districts today (19).
The department states that rain or thundershowers may occur in a few places in Uva province and Ampara and Batticaloa districts in the evening or at night.
From Colombo to Matara through Galle, some rain may occur in the offshore areas.
The Department of Meteorology further states that in the sea areas around the island, the winds blow from the southwest and the wind speed is about (20-30) km/h.
