The Department of Meteorology says that there is mainly rainless weather in many parts of the island.
The department mentioned that in the North Central, North West and Uva Provinces and in Hambantota District, strong winds of around 40 to 50 kmph are blowing from time to time are possible.
The Department of Meteorology further stated that the sea areas off the coast from Trincomalee to Kankasanthuraya, Mannar and Puttalam to Colombo and from Hambantota to Pothuvil may become rough from time to time.
