The Department of Meteorology says that there may be some rain in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle, and Matara districts.
The department states that there is mainly rainless weather on the rest of the island.
From Puttalam through Colombo and Galle to Matara, there may be rain at a few places in the sea areas off the coast, and the winds in the sea areas around the island are blowing from the south-west and the wind speed is about (30-40) kmph.
