The Department of Meteorology says that rain or thundershowers may occur at places in the evening or night in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, North-Western, Central and Eastern provinces and Mullaitivu district.
The department states that there may be some rain in the morning in the western coastal areas and Galle and Matara districts. The Department of Meteorology urges individuals to take the required precautions to reduce the risks brought on by storm-related lightning and transient high winds.
