The Department of Meteorology says that in the evening or at night there may be scattered showers or thunderstorms in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Central, Uva and North-Western provinces.
Some places in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, Galle and Matara districts. The department mentioned that heavy rains of around 75 m are also possible.
There may be some light rains in the eastern province and a few spots of rain may occur in the morning in the southern province.
The Department of Meteorology urges individuals to take the required precautions to reduce the risks brought on by storm-related lightning and transient high winds.
