The Department of Meteorology says that there may be several periods of rain today (16) in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and North-Western provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
The department stated that there is mainly rainless weather in the rest of the areas. The department further states that the winds blowing from time to time in the northern, eastern and north-central provinces can become strong winds between 30 and 40 kilometres per hour.
