The Department of Meteorology says that an increase in rain conditions is expected in the northern, central and eastern provinces of the island from tomorrow (17).
The department stated that several rainy seasons may occur in Eastern and Uva provinces and Polonnaruwa, Matale and Hambantota districts.
In Western and Sabaragamuwa Provinces and Galle and Matara Districts, there may be rain or thundershowers in a few places in the evening or at night.
The Department of Meteorology urges individuals to take the required precautions to reduce the risks brought on by storm-related lightning and transient high winds.
