Today (15th), the Department of Meteorology announces that there may be occasional rain or thundershowers in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and North-Western provinces and Galle and Matara districts.
It is stated in the announcement that there is a possibility of heavy rains of more than 100 mm in some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts.
It further stated that rain or thundershowers may occur in the rest of the island in the evening or at night, and there is a possibility of heavy rains of more than 75 mm in some places.
