The Department of Meteorology says that occasional rain or thundershowers may occur in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and North-Western provinces and Galle and Matara districts today (15).
The announcement further states that the winds can be gusty between 40 and 45 kilometres per hour. The Department of Meteorology asks citizens to take the required precautions to lessen the risks brought on by storm-related lightning and transient high winds.
