The Department of Meteorology says that rain or thundershowers may occur at places in the evening or night in Southern, Sabaragamuwa, Uva, Western and Central provinces.
The department mentioned that there may be several rainy seasons in the Eastern Province and Polonnaruwa District, while the rest of the island will have mainly rainless weather conditions.
The Department of Meteorology urges individuals to take the required precautions to reduce the risks brought on by storm-related lightning and transient high winds.
