The Department of Meteorology says that in a few places in Sabaragamuwa province, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts, rain or thunder may occur in the evening or at night.
The department stated that there may be some rain in the Eastern Province, Mulathivu and Polonnaruwa districts.
The Department of Meteorology urges individuals to take the required precautions to reduce the risks brought on by storm-related lightning and transient high winds.
