The Department of Meteorology further stated that the sun will rise over the areas of Mannar, Periyamadu, Puliyankulama and Kokilai at 12:11 pm today (13).
The Department of Meteorology says that there may be rain or thundershowers at a few places in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts during the evening or at night.
The Department of Meteorology urges individuals to take the required precautions to reduce the risks brought on by storm-related lightning and transient high winds.
