The Department of Meteorology says that there may be some rain in the Eastern and Uva provinces.
The department stated that rain or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Sabaragamuwa province and Galle, Matara and Kalutara districts in the evening or at night.
In the rest of the island, there is mainly rainless weather.
The Department of Meteorology urges individuals to take the required precautions to reduce the risks brought on by storm-related lightning and transient high winds.
