The Department of Meteorology says that there may be rain or thundershowers at a few places in the evening or night in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle and Matara districts.
The department mentioned that In North, North Central and North West Provinces and in Trincomalee, Hambantota and Monaragala Districts, the winds are blowing from time to time per km. strong winds of around (40-50) are possible.
The Department of Meteorology urges individuals to take the required precautions to reduce the risks brought on by storm-related lightning and transient high winds.
