Today (07) the Department of Meteorology says that it may rain from time to time in Eastern and Uva provinces.
The department stated that there may be several rainy seasons in North Central Province and Matale and Mullaitivu districts.
In the rest of the island, there may be scattered rain or thundershowers in the evening or at night, while in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Southern provinces, there may also be rain in the morning.
The Department of Meteorology urges individuals to take the required precautions to reduce the risks brought on by storm-related lightning and transient high winds.
