The Department of Meteorology says that there may be rain or thundershowers at some places in the evening or night in Western, Sabaragamuwa, South, Uva, Central, North-West and North-Central provinces and Mannar districts today (06).
The Department of Meteorology urges individuals to take the required precautions to reduce the risks brought on by storm-related lightning and transient high winds.
The Department of Meteorology further states that the sun will be directly above the latitudes of Sri Lanka from the 05th to the 15th of April and the sun will rise over the areas of Udugama, Neluwa, Maduwanwela, Kumbukweva and Yala today at 12:13 in the afternoon.
