The world’s population crossed the eight billion mark. According to foreign media, a Filipino baby was born as the eighth billionth person.
It is also said that the birth took place in Manila, Philippines. The statement issued by the United Nations further states that it has taken 11 years for the world population to pass from seven billion to eight billion.
The United Nations says that the world population will pass the 9 billion mark within the next 15 years, and the 10 billion mark will be passed in the year 2080.
