The Essential Commodity Importers Association’s representative, Nihal Seneviratne, claims that a kilogram of wheat flour now costs 250 rupees at wholesale.
Accordingly, he said that this price situation is expected to be maintained during the festive season as well and the bakery owners are requested to give the customers the benefit of the reduction in the price of wheat flour.
Also, Nihal Seneviratne further mentioned that wheat flour has been imported for the coming period through the open account system and is being received.
