The Irrigation Department says that the water level in Maha Oya has risen with the bad weather.
Accordingly, there is a possibility of minor flooding in the low-lying areas belonging to the regional secretariats of Alavwa, Divulapitiya, Mirigama, Pannala, Wennappuwa, Negombo Katana, and Dankotuwa.
The Irrigation Department requests the people in the concerned areas to be vigilant in this regard.
