Presidential Secretary Saman Ekanayake issued the gazette announcement related to the closing of the third session of the Ninth Parliament at midnight yesterday (27), the President Media Division says.
Accordingly, it is stated that the fourth session of the Ninth Parliament will be opened by President Ranil Wickremesinghe on February 8 at 10:00 am.
It is traditional for the president to present his policy statement when the parliament starts a new session after the conclusion of such sessions.
