American media reports indicate that a 6-year-old student shot his teacher at a school in Newport, Virginia, USA.
Media reports have further said that the 33-year-old teacher was hospitalized with serious injuries. The shooting is said to have taken place at Richneck Elementary School.
Newport Inspector General of Police Steve Drew explained to the media that the student was shot with a pistol, and he was immediately arrested by the police. (Reuters)
