KDS Ruwan Chandra, Secretary of the Ministry of Ports, Navigation and Aviation Services, Chairman of the committee appointed for the purpose, says that the report containing the recommendations related to the restructuring of the Railway Department has been prepared.
The chairman mentions that the proposals related to increasing the efficiency of the railway department, reducing the losses and also providing attractive service to the people by the railway department have been included in this report.
Accordingly, he has further said that it is planned to hand over the relevant report to the President’s Secretary next week.
