Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, says that it is expected that the three main creditor countries, Japan, India, and China, will soon participate in the search for solutions to Sri Lanka’s economic crisis.
Foreign media reported that she mentioned this in an interview with the Center for Global Development about the situation Sri Lanka is facing today.
Also, she mentions that there is a need for transparency about loans, equal treatment of all creditors, and an organized plan that unites creditors.
She further stated that there is a need for political will to deal equally with the creditors from the respective countries and with the International Monetary Fund and other organizations.
