The most recent capsule collection from G-Star includes limited-edition designs from the year 2000. Simply the authentic original G-Star styles from Y2K, with no alterations or extensions. All of the retro designs were included in a collection chosen by fashion model Rose Bertram.
The Y2K Resurrection
G-Star RAW was founded in 1989 and spent its early years in the decadent ’90s and ’00s. When the internet first debuted and low-rise jeans became fashionable, it was a watershed moment in history. Given how popular the Y2K craze has grown, G-choice Star’s decision to re-release 11 authentic Y2K models, personally selected by Bertram, with no alterations or additions appears to be a no-brainer.
Complete duplicates are being created to meet everyone’s nostalgic requirements and to let you experience those great years. Cropped army pants, a strapless denim mini dress, and a cropped logo shirt are among the collection’s highlights.
Rose Bertram’s set of selections
Rose Bertram (1994), a Belgian model, grew up in the 2000s, which inevitably shaped her sense of style. Because her everyday outfit was influenced by Y2K, G-Star charged her with picking pieces for their next capsule collection. selecting the best things from the historic archive collection, with a limited quantity of designs to be purchased in 2022.
“I love the 00’s. When G-Star asked me to curate the Y2K collection; directly from their archive, I had to say yes. It was super inspiring because I love the brand and the era. I picked my favourite original designs, all from the year 2000. And they’ve been recreated without any edits or additions. So we’re really bringing Y2K into 2022.”

Starting on October 18, 2022, consumers will be able to purchase the G-Star RAW Y2K capsule collection.
