The National Dengue Control Unit says that the number of dengue cases reported in the country has exceeded 61,000. However, comparing the month of January to July, the number of dengue cases reported in the month of August till now is at the lowest level, the unit said.
Although 7,369 dengue cases were reported in July, only 4,536 dengue cases have been reported in August. The National Dengue Control Unit further stated that the number of high-risk areas where dengue cases have been reported has dropped to 34.
