The Speaker recorded his assent to the Inland Revenue (Amendment) Bill. Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena announced in Parliament yesterday (10) that the certificate was recorded in the “Inland Revenue (Amendment)” Bill on May 08, 2023, in accordance with Article 79 of the Constitution of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. The bill was passed in Parliament on April 28.
Accordingly, the 2023 โInland Revenue (Amendment)โ Bill No. 04 comes into force as the โInland Revenue (Amendment)โ Act with the recording of the Speaker’s certificate.
