Yevgeny Prigozhin, the leader of the Russian Wagner mercenary squadron, died in the plane crash. Tests have been confirmed.
When the accident happened on the 24th and crashed, 10 members of the ‘Wagner’ mercenary battalion, including Prigozhin, were on the plane. The plane is Prigoshin’s private plane. Russian authorities say DNA tests have been conducted to confirm that the remaining 9 are dead.
The ‘black box’ containing the plane’s flight data has also been found, and the authorities further explain that they are investigating why the plane crashed. (Reuters)
