The consumer affairs authority started the raids yesterday (06) to find out if the bread has the correct weight.
Accordingly, during the inspection of bakeries and shops, around 50 bakeries were raided for not displaying the required weight and prices, and proceedings have been initiated against those institutions in the future.
The consumer affairs authority had recently issued a gazette for the prescribed weight of bread.
