Minister of State for Finance Dr Ranjith Siyambalapitiya says that a report will be submitted to the President to take appropriate measures to prevent further importation of rubber as raw material.
It is said that information has been revealed that certain multinational companies are still importing rubber at high prices by highlighting the quality of rubber.
The minister states that the relevant committee met at the Ministry of Finance and took the decision during a long discussion.
