This year, Sri Lanka has managed to occupy the 64th position in the Global Hunger Index.
This year’s hunger index includes 121 countries.
Sri Lanka is ranked 64th with a score of 13.6 and thus Sri Lanka is at a moderate level in terms of hunger. Last year, Sri Lanka ranked 65th out of 116 countries on the hunger index.
Among the South Asian countries in this year’s hunger Index, India is ranked 107th, followed by Pakistan at 99th and Bangladesh at 84th.
