According to the Department of Immigration and Emigration, appointments are required to apply for passports under the one-day and routine services.
The department stated in a statement that it has previously advised the public to make appointments before visiting the department.
However, it has been noted that a considerable number of people attend without scheduling previous appointments to acquire treatments.
Regrettably, the department needs to advise that from now on, services will only be delivered to applicants who have scheduled previous appointments for one-day and standard passport services.
