The Sri Lanka Defense Services Rugby Team won the friendly match between the Indian National Rugby Team and the Sri Lanka Defense Services Rugby Team at the Ratmalana Air Force Rugby Ground. The Indian national rugby team, which is on a training tour of Sri Lanka, recently participated in this match after participating in training with the Sri Lanka Army, Sri Lanka Navy and Sri Lanka Air Force rugby teams.
The Indian rugby team was captained by Vikas Katti and the Sri Lanka Defense Services rugby team was captained by Thilina Weerasinghe of the Sri Lanka Navy. Against the 30 points scored by the Indian national team, the Defense Services Rugby team won by scoring 31 points at the end of the match.

Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana, the current Chairman of the Defense Services Sports Board and Air Force Commander, Captain Vikas Soodi, Defense Adviser of the Indian High Commission, Sri Lanka Air Force Chief of Staff and Rugby Stabilization Committee Chairman Mr Chula Dharmadasa participated in the event.
