New Zealand ODI regulars former captain Kane Williamson, current captain Tim Southee, spinner Mitchell Santner and opener Devon Conway have been withdrawn from the ODI series to be held against Sri Lanka. With the aim of participating in the Indian Premier League cricket tournament, they are out of the Sri Lankan tournament.
Accordingly, they are scheduled to leave for India after the Test series against Sri Lanka. Tom Latham is the captain of the ODI squad and the New Zealand authorities have arranged to call several new players to the New Zealand team for the first time.
The players named in this one-day tournament will be included in two groups and the players of the first group will leave for the Indian Premier League after the first match. Accordingly, after the first match against Sri Lanka, Finn Allen, Lockie Ferguson and Glenn Phillips are also scheduled to leave for India.
