The maiden journey of the Seethawaka Odyssey tourist train started from Fort railway station under the leadership of the Minister of Transport, Highways and Mass Media Dr Bandula Gunawardena yesterday morning (15).
It is said that this new train service has been started with the aim of developing Seethaka town as a new tourist area.
This project is being implemented jointly by the Ministry of Transport, Highways and Mass Media, the Sri Lanka Railway Department and the Western Province Tourism Board.
