Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the Ukrainian city of Mariupol, which was attacked and captured by Russian forces.

Mariupol is one of the main cities located in eastern Donetsk province. It is also said that this is the first time that the Russian President has visited Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian invasion. President Putin came to Ukraine under special security.

Putin arrived in Mariupol by helicopter across the border, and then toured the city accompanied by security forces. He had a friendly conversation with the pro-Russian residents of Mariupol. (Reuters)
