Electricity and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera says that the restructuring program of the Ceylon Electricity Board is planned to be implemented from next week.
Accordingly, the minister points out that the first step is to withdraw from collective agreements and take necessary new policy decisions on financial control.
The Asian Development Bank, the World Bank, the American Agency for International Development and JICA have decided to provide support for the Ceylon Electricity Board’s restructuring program.
