The Department of Buddhist Affairs says that they hope to provide relief for the electricity bills of difficult temples.
Buddhist Affairs Commissioner (Development) V Jayakodi mentioned that after the Buddhist Affairs Department gave a recommendation for the electricity bill of the temples according to the existing system, the electricity bill was created with concessions by the Electricity Board.
He mentioned that a document is being prepared regarding difficult temples that are difficult to pay the electricity bill and recommendations are to be given for giving relief to those temples as before.
Buddhist Affairs Commissioner (Development) V Jayakodi mentioned that a solar panel installation program is going to be implemented for other temples including Piriwen.
