Sri Lanka signed a new agreement related to climate change research and building a green economy.
This agreement was signed between the Government of Sri Lanka and the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) for the advancement of climate action and green growth development in Sri Lanka.
The agreement was signed at the President’s Office in the presence of President Ranil Wickremesinghe and the Chairman of the World Green Growth Institute and former Secretary General of the United Nations Mr Ban Ki Moon.
Mr Anil Jasinghe, Secretary of the Ministry of Environment and Mr Frank Rijsberman, Director General of the World Green Growth Institute, signed the agreement on behalf of the Government of Sri Lanka. (Lankadeepa)
