Chairman of Uttara Lanka Coalition, former minister Wimal Weerawansa has sent a letter requesting Education Minister Susil Premajayantha to postpone the 2022 A Level examination.
He points out in the relevant letter that holding the 2022 GCE (A Level) examination three months after the release of the previous year’s results is not fair at all.
Also, he has mentioned that in a survey conducted using groups of students appearing for the 2022 A-level examination, about 78% of the students have asked for the postponement of this year’s examination until February 2023.
Accordingly, in the letter addressed by Wimal Weerawansa, it has been further stated that steps should be taken to give reasonable time to the students appearing for the 2022 GCE (A Level) examination.
