Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera says that the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation will respond legally to the allegations regarding the quality of imported crude oil.
According to this, the Minister states in a Twitter message that the Petroleum Statutory Corporation will respond legally to the allegations made by the Chairman of the Public Utilities Commission (PUCSL).
The minister has also mentioned that the oil corporation has sufficient stocks of diesel and fuel oil.
The Minister’s Twitter message further states that the Ceylon Electricity Board has requested an extended power cut due to the collapse of Lakshapana, and the lack of adequate provisions for diesel and fuel oil and water management.
